Two Die In Lagos-Ibadan Auto Crash

Two people travelling in a commercial vehicle on Monday morning died in an accident along long bridge on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Gatekeepers News reports that spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe confirmed the tragic incident.

The spokesperson attributed the accident to road demarcation and fatigue on the driver’s part.

Florence notes that one person sustained injury in the crash which occurred at 5:38 am involving a Mazda bus marked EDE 217 XB, and a MAN Diesel truck with registration number AJL 715 XA.

She said, “The injured victim was taken to Hopeland Hospital, Warewa while the remains of the deceased were deposited at the morgue of Real Divine Hospital, Ibafo.”

The spokesperson added that Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, advised motorists to always be on alert while driving.

Fasakin also advised motorists to always have some rest to avoid fatigue while on the wheel.
