Lagos State government has commenced public school transfer exercise ahead of 2024/2025 academic session.
Gatekeepers News reports that the state government through Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education announced this in a statement posted on its official X account.
The commencement of transfer opportunities into Junior and Secondary schools is for students who seek such transfer based on genuine reasons.
According to the statement; the transfer is for both public school students and private school students who desire a switch to public schools across the state.
The transfer exercise, which began on the 8th of August, is limited to JSS II and SS II.
Interested parents are required to submit a written application addressed to Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Secretariat, Alausa, Ikeja, stating the candidate’s school of choice, gender, age, and state of origin.
Also, applicants are expected to attach passport photographs, birth certificates, 2nd and 3rd term results of previous classes.
The application exercise is slated to end on Friday 30th, August 2024.
