Police Invite NLC President For Questioning Over Terrorism Financing

Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has invited president of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero for questioning over allegations of criminal conspiracy, terrorism financing, subversion and cybercrime levied against him.

Gatekeepers News reports that the invitation was made known through a letter addressed to the NLC President, and signed by assistant commissioner of police, ACP Adamu S. Mu’Azu, for deputy commissioner of police, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) on Monday.

The force asked Ajaero to report at IRT complex, old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja for an interview at 10 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Police warned that it would activate a warrant of arrest against the NLC president if he failed to honour the invitation.

The letter from IRT unit read in part: “This office is investigating a case of Criminal Conspiracy, Terrorism Financing, Treasonable Felony, Subversion and Cybercrime in which you were mentioned.”

“You are therefore invited to interview the undersigned on Tuesday 20th August, 2024 by 10:00hrs prompt, at IRT Complex, Old Abattoir by Guzape Junction, Abuja, through the Team Leader with telephone no 08035179870 in connection with the above investigation.”

“Be informed that in the event of failing to honour this letter, this office will have no alternative than to activate a warrant of arrest against you please.”
