Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum, on Tuesday. distributed Bags of grains to 10, 000 Male heads of households to support less privileged families in the state.
Gatekeepers News reports that Zulum also gave financial support and wrappers to another set of 15,000 female heads of households bringing the total number of beneficiaries of the governor’s usual humanitarian gesture to 25,000 heads of households.
Governor Zulum personally supervised the distribution of food palliatives and financial support in Mafa, a Loca Government Council where attacks by suspected Boko terrorists had displaced thousands of residents.
According to the Governor, the 10,000 bags of maize is the last of the 40, 0000 bags of grains given to the state by the Federal Government pointing out that other bags of grains had been distributed to the Senatorial District of Borno State.
The Governor revealed that the financial and Wrappers support is solely sponsored by the state government to assist heads of female households.
“We are here in Mafa town distribute food items that were given to the government of Borno state by the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu’s administration for onward distribution to the less privileged people.
“10, 000 Male heads of households get 50kg Bags of grains each while 15, 000 female heads of households will receive a wrapper and N10,000 each through our Microfinance Bank,” Governor Zulum said.
