Former Miss South Africa contestant, Chidimma Adeshina has revealed plans to participate in the next season of Big Brother Naija (BBN) which is expected to take place in 2025.
Gatekeepers News reports that Chidimma withdrew from this year’s Miss South Africa pageant after her mother was accused of identity theft and was backlashed from South Africans.
She was subsequently invited to contest in Miss Universe Nigeria pageant and is competing as Miss Taraba State.
An investigation launched by Home Affairs Department revealed that the model’s mother stole a South African mother’s identity.
Chidimma during a recent interview with Cool FM, revealed that she plans to become one of the housemates in Big Brother Naija show next year.
She said, “I want to enter Big Brother Naija next year. If I can stay away for seven weeks at Miss SA, trust me, I am sure I can do it.”
The model also opened up about emotional toll of Miss SA controversy, noting that it was a difficult journey that often made her cry.
Chidimna added that she chose to adopt a positive mindset, with the belief that something great could come from her situation.
She said, “For me, it has been a long journey. It’s been so hard, I won’t lie.”
“Sometimes, I would cry to sleep and be like, ‘Why me?’ and want it to end. But sometimes, when difficult moments happen, you must look at the positive side. So I had to change my mindset and see that greatness may come from all this.”
