Shettima – Ngige Present As Senate Holds Valecditory Service For Ifeanyi Ubah

Vice president Shettima and former Governor of Anambra state, Chris Ngige attended the memorial service held to honour Ifeanyi Ubah, late Anambra south lawmaker by Senate on Tuesday.

Gatekeepers News reports that Ubah who was a member of All Progressives Congress (APC) and chief executive officer of Capital Oil and Gas Industries Limited died on July 26 in London, United Kingdom (UK).

During the valedictory session held at national assembly on Tuesday, lawmakers including Godswill Akpabio, senate president paid tribute to Ubah.

Casket bearing the remains of the deceased lay in state at the foyer of the white house wing, directly in front of the Senate chamber.

The late lawmaker’s seat in the house was decorated with flowers and decorated with a cloth painted in Nigerian flag colours.

The session was open to dignitaries, including non-senators and other guests, to pay their respects.

Shettima, Ngige, and Uche Ekwunife, former senator representing Anambra Central, were among the dignitaries in attendance.

Ekaette Akpabio, wife of the senate president, Hauwa Jibrin-Barau, wife of the deputy senate president; and Oluyemisi Bamidele, wife of senate leader were also present at the memorial service.
