Legendary English studio guitarist best known for playing the guitar riff in ‘James Bond Theme,’ Victor Harold Flick popularly known as Vic Flick has passed away.
Gatekeepers News reports that Vic’s son, Kevin Flick in a post on Facebook, announced that his father died on November 14, after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
He wrote, “With great sadness my mother – Vic’s wife Judith, his grandchild Tyler and I must announce that my father Vic Flick passed away peacefully last Thursday and so ending his battle with Alzheimer’s.”
The deceased who died at the age of 87 worked with The Beatles, Tom Jones, the Bee Gees, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Cliff Richard during his lifetime.
Vic’s guitar playing was recognised by his use of a Vox AC15 amplifier and a Clifford Essex Paragon guitar which made his sound unique.
The deceased is survived by his wife Judith, his son, Kevin, and a grandchild.
