Senator representing Delta North, Ned Nwoko has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party, a political group he has served since its foundation in 1999.
Gatekeepers News reports that Nwoko In a resignation letter addressed to the party leadership in Ward 8, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, dated January 30 expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the party.
He cited deep divisions and irreconcilable factions as the primary reasons for his departure.
“My decision to resign is first and foremost due to the deep divisions and factionalisation within the party. This fragmentation has made it increasingly difficult to foster unity and advance the collective interests of our people,” Nwoko stated.
The senator further lamented recent events that underscored the party’s internal strife.
This is a developing story.
