President Bola Tinubu has ordered a thorough investigation into the devastating tanker explosion that occurred in Karu, Abuja, on Wednesday night, resulting in multiple accidents and loss of lives.
Gatekeepers News reports that the President expressed his condolences to the families of the victims, who lost their loved ones in the inferno that happened during peak traffic hours.
In addition to the investigation, Tinubu has also directed that the injured receive priority treatment at various medical facilities in the capital city.
He further instructed security agencies, particularly those responsible for road safety, to intensify monitoring of traffic at Abuja’s entry and exit points to prevent similar incidents in the future.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu prayed for the souls of the departed and asked for God’s comfort for the grieving families.
