Following its earlier announcement on the reintroduction of monthly environmental sanitation exercise, Edo State government has announced a movement restriction.
Gatekeepers News reports that Umar Musa Ikhilor, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) made the announcement in a statement on Tuesday.
Ikhilor urged residents across the state to actively participate in the exercise aimed at promoting a cleaner and healthier environment.
According to the statement, there will be a restriction on human and vehicular movement between 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. on the sanitation day.
However, individuals on essential duties and candidates sitting for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which begins nationwide on April 24, will be exempted from the restriction.
