The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Christopher Musa, on Thursday, reassured residents of the North East Region of Improved security following recent attacks by notorious Boko Haram Terrorists.
Gatekeepers News reports that Gen. Musa stated that the military would root- out the Boko Haram terrorists group from all their enclaves and ensure peace is restored in all parts of the North East Region and Borno State in particular that had suffered the most from recent attacks.
General Musa made this known during an assessment visit to Giwa Barracks, where the army bomb storage facility recently erupted with explosion due to what the military described as excessive heat wave .
According to the CDS , the military is more that ever redy to carry out its responsibilities of defending all territories within the nation, pointing out that no stone will be left unturned in rooting -out boko haram terrorists .
” What is happening now is a tying phase. We shall get over it,” Gen. Musa said .
While addressing troops at the Giwa Barracks, General Musa urged them to put in their best in discharging their responsibilities, noting that the welfare of all military personnel accross the country will continue to receive the desired attention.
” Always remember why you’re here , do your best . We’re making every effort to meet your needs, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing his best to support you .
” Protect where you’re supposed to protect. Your weapons must be well secured and ready to act at every point in time.” Gen. Musa said.
