Super Falcons head coach, Justine Madugu has released a roster for the upcoming 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Gatekeepers News reports that the 24-player team includes Asisat Oshoala and Ashleigh Plumptre, who missed the recent friendly against Cameroon.
Chiamaka Nnadozie, Rasheedat Ajibade, Osinachi Ohale, Deborah Abiodun, Christy Ucheibe, and Michelle Alozie are also included in the team which will participate in the continental tournament set to begin in June.
Additionally, three home-based players: goalkeeper Rachael Unachukwu, defenders Sikiratu Isah, and Miracle Usani were also added to the list.
The squad began training on Thursday in Abuja and will continue sessions through the weekend before heading to their final training camp in Lisbon, Portugal on Sunday.
While in Lisbon, the team will play two friendly matches against Portugal on June 23 and Ghana on June 29 as part of their final preparations.
This year’s 13th edition of WAFCON will take place in Morocco from July 5 to 26.
The Super Falcons are placed in Group B, where they will face Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in the group stage.
