Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed the signing of Nigerian international goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on a free transfer from Paris FC, according to the BBC.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the 24-year-old will officially join the Women’s Super League side on July 1, once her contract with the French club expires.

Nnadozie, widely regarded as one of Africa’s top goalkeepers, has earned 55 caps for Nigeria since making her senior debut in 2018.

She rose to prominence at the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and became Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper shortly after.

Her performances at the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cups further cemented her reputation, especially after a standout showing against Canada in 2023 where she saved a penalty.

She spent four seasons at Paris FC, where she made 16 UEFA Women’s Champions League appearances between 2022 and 2025, playing a key role in the team’s rise in French and European women’s football.

Brighton manager Dario Vidosic praised the new signing, saying: “She’s a talented and commanding goalkeeper who will bring consistency and confidence to our defensive line. We’re confident she’ll add both depth and drive to a squad already full of ambition as we continue to build for next season.”
