Minister of Regional Development, Engr Abubakar Momoh, on Tuesday applauded the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for executing impactful, people-oriented projects, emphasizing that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s development initiatives warrant a second term in office.
Gatekeepers News reports that Momoh particularly commended the NEDC for constructing the Jere Bowl Road network crisscrossing 7 major agrarian communities including Koshebe, a community where over 40 rice farmers were killed by Boko Haram Terrorists in 2020.
The Minister gave the commendation while on an inspection of various projects executed by the NEDC in Borno State.
According to the Minister, the impactful projects carried out by the NEDC is currently transforming lives especially at the rural areas pointing out that President Bola Tinubu is determined to get development to all parts of Nigeria.
“I want to say in clear terms that the construction of the Jere bowl road networks by the NEDC will not only transform agricultural system in the area but will also empower the locals economically and enhance security of lives and properties.
“This is what the renewed hope agenda stands for – to transform lives positively and empower Nigerians economically. I believe that in 2027 all residents in and around the Jere Bowl Road will no better choice than President Bola Tinubu who has brought development to their door steps,” Momoh said.
The Minister revealed that President Tinubu is passionate and deliberate about getting development to all parts of the country, hence the creation of Ministry of Regional Development.
Momoh revealed that President Tinubu is determined to ensure that other regional development commissions commence operations before 2027, noting that once that is achived, it will fast track development in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.
The Minister stated for now, the NEDC and NDDC are already making a difference through impactful interventions, transforming lives across the regions.
“President Tinubu is passionate about talking development to all parts of Nigeria, he is demonstrating that through development projects executed by NEDC and NDDC, the President deserves a second term to continue the good work,” Momoh said.
