Lagos To Host 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit In October

Lagos will host the 10th edition of the Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), an annual event organized by InnovationHub Africa. It is scheduled to take place from October 7 to 8 at the Muson Centre, Onikan.

Gatekeepers News reports that this year’s theme, “Sustainable Innovation,” will bring together key players from various sectors to explore how innovation can address critical global and local challenges.

According to Tony Ajah, Programme Director of the summit, the event aims to highlight the role of innovation in promoting sustainable development and inclusive growth.

He said, “As the world grapples with pressing challenges from climate change to social and economic inequality, innovation must go beyond what is new to what is sustainable and inclusive.”

“We must rethink how we create, and build solutions that serve not just the present needs, but also protect and empower generations to come.”

The summit will convene a diverse mix of startups, entrepreneurs, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders from Nigeria and beyond. Over two days, attendees can expect an engaging lineup of activities, including product showcases, expert-led workshops, fireside chats, NiX (Nigeria Innovation Experience) Talks, startup pitch sessions, and exhibitions across key sectors such as healthtech, agritech, artificial intelligence (AI), fintech, edtech, and renewable energy.

The event will conclude with 2025 Nigeria Innovation Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to innovation across industries.

Participation is open to startups, innovators, investors, public and private institutions, and members of the academic community.
