Peaceful PDP Ward Congresses Signal Party’s Readiness to Reclaim Kwara— Saraki

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has said that the recently concluded Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses in Kwara State are evidence of the party’s growing unity and readiness to return to power.

Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement issued by his press officer on local matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki said the congresses held across the state’s 193 wards reflected consensus, discipline, and internal democracy.

He said, “The congresses once again demonstrated the growing strength of our party in Kwara”, adding that the consensus-driven process underscored the readiness of the PDP to reclaim leadership at all levels in the state.

Sarami praised members for their orderly conduct, noting that the outcome highlighted the collective determination of the PDP family to work together in harmony.

The politician also congratulated the newly elected ward executives, urging them to see their positions as a call to service.

He said, “The task before the new ward leadership is enormous. They must serve as unifying pillars, mobilisers, and true representatives of the aspirations of our people.”

The former Kwara Governor stressed that the effectiveness of the ward leaders at the grassroots would shape the strength and progress of the party, while assuring them of his continued support.

He also appealed to stakeholders to remain united as the PDP prepares for the upcoming elections.
