FAAC Shares Record N2.225 Trillion Revenue For August 2025

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of N2.225 trillion as federation revenue for August 2025 — the highest monthly disbursement ever to the three tiers of government and other statutory recipients.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the figure marks the second consecutive month FAAC allocations have exceeded N2 trillion.

According to a communiqué issued at the end of the FAAC meeting in Abuja, the surge in distributable revenue was driven by higher receipts from oil and gas royalties, value-added tax (VAT), and common external tariff (CET) levies.

Gross federation revenue for the month stood at N3.635 trillion, from which N124.839 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while other statutory transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings were also set aside.
