Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, goalkeeper of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has been ranked the fourth-best female goalkeeper in the world for the 2024/25 season.
Gatekeepers News reports that the recognition came on Monday at the Ballon d’Or ceremony hosted at the Théâtre du Chatelet in Paris, France.
Nnadozie secured her spot behind England’s Hannah Hampton, who clinched the top prize, Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger in second, and Spain’s Cata Coll in third. She placed above Daphne van Domselaar, rounding off the list of five nominees.
This year marked the debut of the Yachine Trophy for women’s best goalkeeper, with Nnadozie making history as the first African to be nominated. She has also twice been crowned CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year.
