Nigeria – Saint Kitts And Nevis Introduce Reciprocal 90-Day Visa-Free Travel

Citizens of Nigeria and Saint Kitts and Nevis can now travel between the two countries without a visa for up to 90 days.

Gatekeepers News reports that the development follows a newly signed bilateral agreement. According to reports, the policy officially took effect on August 4.

The development is a result of high-level diplomatic engagements earlier this year between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Prime Minister Terrance Drew of Saint Kitts and Nevis, held in Abuja.

The agreement builds on discussions during Tinubu’s state visit to Saint Lucia in June, where he and Drew explored visa waiver arrangements for holders of diplomatic and official passports within the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).

The OECS includes Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

During a joint session of Saint Lucia’s senate and house of assembly, Tinubu highlighted Nigeria’s openness to broader visa waiver initiatives with OECS member states and pledged to deploy technical experts to the region to enhance Africa–Caribbean cooperation.
