President Tinubu Approves Appointments Of DGs And Tribunal Chairman

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of new chief executives for three strategic Federal Government agencies.

Gatekeepers News reports that the announcement was made in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

According to the statement, Tinubu appointed Bello Bawa Bwari as Director-General of the National Biosafety Management Agency for an initial four-year term, effective September 18, 2025.

The President also named Aminu Junaidu as Chairman of the Investment and Securities Tribunal for a five-year tenure, beginning September 18, 2025.

In addition, Olayiwola Nurudeen Awakan was appointed Director-General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, also for a four-year term, effective September 2, 2025.

Imohiosen noted that the appointments reflect President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening key institutions and sectors. He added that the President urged the appointees to bring their expertise to bear in driving reforms and advancing national development.
