The Acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), May Agbamuche, on Tuesday met with chairmen and secretaries of political parties at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting forms part of a series of consultative engagements with electoral stakeholders ahead of the Anambra State governorship election scheduled for November.
According to INEC, the session aims to provide a platform for the commission and political parties to discuss key operational issues, address concerns, and fine-tune preparations for the forthcoming election.
This marks the first official meeting with political parties presided over by Agbamuche since assuming her role as acting chairperson of the electoral body.
