Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of a new Governing Council for the Edo State Polytechnic, Usen.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to a statement issued on Tuesday, by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, the newly appointed members are expected to strengthen the institution’s governance and contribute to the administration’s drive for academic excellence and innovation.
The appointees include:
• Hon. Samuel Oboh – Chairman
• Dr. Abdul Wasiu Oyakhire – Member
• Isibor Philips Isa Oseremen – Member
• Igbinadolor Patience Osamede – Member
• Louis Amienwan Okojie – Member
• Dr. Anthony Oyase Atogwe – Member
Ikhilor stated that the appointments reflect the Governor’s commitment to enhancing the management of tertiary institutions across the state in line with his SHINE Agenda for the education sector.
The new Governing Council is tasked with repositioning Edo State Polytechnic, Usen, as a center of innovation, technical advancement, and skill development.
