Edo State Government has announced the immediate removal of Mr. Tony Ikpasaja as Managing Director of the Edo Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS).
Gatekeepers News reports that the directive, approved by Governor Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday, takes immediate effect.
According to a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, the most senior officer in the agency has been instructed to take over in an acting capacity until a new substantive Managing Director is appointed.
The government explained that the decision forms part of ongoing efforts to restructure and reposition EDOGIS for greater efficiency, improved service delivery, and stronger institutional performance.
No further details were provided on the circumstances surrounding Ikpasaja’s removal.
