Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has announced that she has made peace with her former husband, Olakunle Churchill.

Gatekeepers News reports that this brings an end to nearly ten years of public disagreement and strained relations between them.

Dikeh disclosed the reconciliation in a post shared on her Instagram page on Saturday, where she reflected on years of conflict, emotional pain, and broken communication before what she described as divine intervention changed the situation.

According to her, what once appeared beyond repair has now been restored, with calm, mutual respect, and understanding replacing hostility.

The actress attributed the renewed relationship to God’s guidance, prayers, and humility, saying human effort could not have achieved the outcome.

“We are living proof that the Word of God is eternal and unfailing. God is not a God who abandons what He has started. When He begins a work, He stays with it until it is completed. After ten long years of public battles, deep wounds, broken communication, bitterness, and pain, God stepped in,” she wrote.

She added that mercy changed what once looked impossible. “What looked ugly, impossible, and beyond repair has been touched by mercy. Peace has replaced chaos. Respect has returned where anger once lived. What human effort could not fix, God healed by salvation, humility, and the sincere prayers of a child,” Dikeh said.

Dikeh further described the reconciliation as a spiritual process beyond human understanding. “This restoration is not by might, not by wisdom, not by strength, but by the Spirit of the Lord. When God moves, the human mind cannot comprehend the process. He softens hearts, silences the enemy, and rewrites stories that looked finished,” she stated, adding that pride and stubbornness gave way to love, especially for the sake of their child.

She expressed appreciation to Churchill for embracing peace and following what she described as God’s direction. “I am deeply grateful to the father of my child, Dr Kunle, for yielding to God’s word and choosing peace. Obedience to God always births restoration, even when the road has been long and painful,” she wrote.

The actress also encouraged people facing similar struggles not to give up, assuring them that healing and restoration are possible. “To anyone standing where I once stood, tired, wounded, misunderstood, and believing nothing good can come out of the situation, please hear this: God has not abandoned you. Your story is not over. What He has started, He will surely perfect,” she added.

Dikeh and Churchill got married in 2015, but their union ended amid controversy in 2017, despite producing a son. Since the separation, both parties had repeatedly clashed online, including a highly publicised exchange on Instagram in 2020, making the reconciliation a notable development for followers who witnessed years of public tension.
