Air Peace, Nigeria’s national airline, has signed a bilateral agreement with Emirates that will allow travellers to fly from Nigeria and other African cities to Dubai, London and beyond on a single ticket.

Gatekeepers News reports that the deal, announced on social media on Monday, builds on an earlier interline agreement signed in 2025 and aims to give passengers smoother travel experiences by offering through‑checked baggage and seamless connections between the carriers’ networks.

Under the arrangement, passengers flying from cities in West and Central Africa can connect through Emirates’ hub in Dubai, reducing layovers and simplifying long‑haul travel.

Emirates’ expanded connectivity will also enable travellers to reach destinations such as Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan using Air Peace’s routes.

“We are expanding Africa’s access to the world,” Air Peace said in its post, highlighting improved linkages between regional airports and global destinations.

Adnan Kazim, Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer of Emirates, said strengthening the interline partnership supports the airline’s long‑term Africa strategy and its commitment to the Nigerian market.

He noted that the agreement will not only broaden Emirates’ reach in Africa but also help boost inbound tourism, trade and economic ties through Lagos, one of the region’s busiest aviation hubs.

Kazim added that working with strategic partners like Air Peace is part of Emirates’ efforts to create more travel opportunities and grow aviation traffic between Africa and the rest of the world.

For Air Peace, Chief Commercial Officer Nowel Ngala described the partnership as a key step toward enhancing Africa’s presence in the global aviation industry.

He said combining Air Peace’s regional network with Emirates’ extensive international routes would help reduce travel times and provide passengers with more comfortable and efficient journeys.

The agreement follows Emirates’ resumption of flight operations to Nigeria on October 1, 2024, nearly two years after the airline temporarily suspended services to the country.

Air Peace said the new partnership is expected to improve connectivity for travellers across West and Central Africa and strengthen Nigeria’s role in international air travel.
