The organiser of BBNaija has said the show is to contribute positively to society.
Gatekeepers News reports that organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality show have disclosed that the show contributes positively to society. They equally revealed the cost of hosting the ‘Shine Ya Eye’ edition.
CEO of Multichoice Nigeria, John Ugbe, said it cost N4.3 billion to make the show happen this year.
He said this at the season 6 winner’s prize presentation.
“We employed 12,000 persons for this show. It costs us N4.3billiom to air this show this year.
“We use BBNaija to enrich lives and contribute positively to society. We hope to continue to do so.”
The organisers also revealed that one billion votes were recorded this year from the viewers.
Ebuka also announced that during the finale week, the show had over 300 million votes.
