Department of State Services (DSS) has filed a three-count criminal charge against former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, over the alleged unlawful interception of a telephone conversation involving National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu.
Gatekeepers News reports that the charge was instituted on Monday at the Federal High Court in Abuja by counsel representing DSS.
According to court documents, DSS accused El-Rufai of admitting during a live television interview that he and others illegally monitored Ribadu’s phone communications.
DSS maintained that the alleged action constitutes a serious breach of Nigeria’s cybercrime and national security laws.
