Accord Begins Nationwide E-Registration For Members Ahead Of 2027

Accord has commenced a nationwide electronic registration and revalidation exercise for its members as part of preparations for the 2027 general election.

Gatekeepers Newreports that the exercise began on Tuesday, March 3, and is being conducted through the party’s dedicated online portal.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the party urged members across Nigeria and in the diaspora, as well as prospective members, to register or revalidate their membership to obtain new digital membership cards.

According to the statement, the initiative is in line with provisions of the updated electoral framework requiring political parties to maintain a verifiable digital membership register.

The party said the updated register would form the basis for accrediting members during upcoming congresses, primaries and conventions ahead of the 2027 polls.

“Members who registered on previous platforms are required to participate, as additional information is now needed,” the statement said.

National Chairman of the party, Maxwell Mgbudem, stressed the urgency of the exercise and called on party executives at ward, local government, state and zonal levels to intensify mobilisation and expand membership recruitment.

“Accord is the beautiful bride of Nigerian democracy and the fastest growing political party in the country,” Mgbudem said.

“Nigerians are enjoined to be in one accord as we strive to build a better, greater and just democratic nation.”

The party said the digital registration drive is aimed at strengthening internal democracy, improving transparency and ensuring compliance with electoral regulations as the 2027 election cycle approaches.
