A political coalition, Lagos For Prosperity Group (LPG), has endorsed Adelaja Adeoye as its preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election in Lagos State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the announcement was made by the group’s spokesperson, Kazeem Oshodi, who said the decision followed a “careful assessment” of Lagos’ current realities and future needs.
According to him, Adeoye represents “fresh, innovative, and people-centred leadership” capable of driving inclusive development and transforming the state beyond gradual progress.
The group added that its endorsement reflects a growing call for political change ahead of the 2027 elections, especially in a state that has been under the control of the All Progressives Congress for years.
Oshodi described LPG as a coalition of youths, entrepreneurs, and community advocates, noting that the group is committed to mobilising support across different segments of society to ensure Adeoye’s victory.
Adeoye, a member of Peoples Democratic Party, has continued to gain attention within opposition circles as a possible challenger in Lagos politics. He is recognised for his background in business, real estate, and political strategy, with a strong understanding of the state’s economic structure.
His emergence comes as PDP intensifies efforts to regain relevance in Lagos after years of electoral losses.
