King Charles And Queen Camilla To Visit US In April

King Charles III and Queen Camilla are set to embark on a state visit to the United States in April, according to an announcement by the Royal Family.

Gatekeepers Newreports that in a post shared on X on Tuesday, the Royal Family said the visit would take place on the advice of His Majesty’s Government and at the invitation of the US president, Donald Trump.

The statement explained that the trip is intended to celebrate the “longstanding ties” between the United Kingdom and the United States, while also strengthening their modern bilateral relationship.

It added that the visit will coincide with the 250th anniversary of American independence.

According to the Royal Family, the King will also travel to Bermuda after the US trip, marking his first official visit to a British Overseas Territory since ascending the throne.

Meanwhile, Trump announced that he and his wife, Melania Trump, will host the British monarch and his wife during the visit scheduled for April 27 to 30.

The US president said the itinerary will include a banquet dinner at the White House on the evening of April 28.

“Melania and I are pleased to announce that Their Majesties, the King and Queen of the United Kingdom, will visit the United States for a historic state visit from April 27 to 30,” Trump said.

“This momentous occasion will be even more special this year as we commemorate the 250th anniversary of our great country.

“I look forward to spending time with the King, whom I greatly respect.”

Trump also described the upcoming visit as “Terrific”.
