The City Boy Movement has suspended Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, the south-west zonal coordinator of its women’s wing, following her declaration as wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Gatekeepers News reports that the EFCC on Monday listed Tejuosho as wanted over an alleged case of obtaining money by false pretence. The agency said the 41-year-old is being sought in connection with an ongoing investigation into fraud-related offences.
Tejuosho had previously come under EFCC scrutiny over allegations linked to an appointment and contract scam.
In June 2025, the commission questioned her after complaints that she collected money from individuals under the pretext of securing federal government jobs and lucrative contracts. She was accused of operating a scheme involving fake appointment letters and forged documents to lend credibility to her claims.
The businesswoman, identified as the founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, was granted administrative bail at the time, with investigations said to be ongoing.
The suspension
In a statement, the movement’s management announced her suspension pending the “full conclusion and resolution of the matter by the relevant authorities”.
It said the decision was taken to safeguard the organisation’s integrity and uphold its ethical standards.
“It is also intended to ensure that the ongoing process is allowed to proceed without interference, obstruction, or undue influence,” the statement read.
The group reiterated its stance against misconduct, stressing that it maintains zero tolerance for criminality or actions capable of tarnishing its image.
“Every official of the Movement is expected to uphold the highest standards of character, responsibility, and public conduct.
“The Movement remains resolute in its mission to promote responsible leadership, national development, transparency, and public trust at all levels of its structure,” it added.
