Rema Becomes Homeowner In Dubai With Luxury Property Acquisition

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Rema has acquired a luxury residence in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, becoming the latest global celebrity to own a home at One by Binghatti, an upscale residential development in the city’s Business Bay district.

Gatekeepers News reports that the acquisition was announced by Binghatti Developers in a statement shared on Instagram, where the company welcomed the singer as its newest homeowner.

The official signing ceremony took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai and was led by Abdullah Binghatti, the company’s Chief Sales Officer, alongside members of its senior management. The developer described Rema as another global icon joining its growing list of high-profile property owners.

Rema’s new home is located in Business Bay, one of Dubai’s prime residential and commercial districts, and is about a five-minute drive from the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building. One by Binghatti is known for its luxury apartments and has attracted celebrities and prominent business figures from around the world.

Born Divine Ikubor, Rema rose to fame after signing with Jonzing World, an imprint of Mavin Records, in 2019. He gained global recognition with “Calm Down”, featuring Selena Gomez, which won the inaugural Best Afrobeats award at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards.

His second album, HeIs, also set a record for the biggest first-week streams on Spotify Nigeria in 2024 and earned a nomination for Best Global Music Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
