Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the ex-depot prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, and Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), also known as diesel, lowering the prices to ₦1,165 per litre and ₦1,570 per litre, respectively.
Gatekeepers News reports that the new pricing, announced on Wednesday, represents a ₦50 reduction in the ex-depot price of petrol from ₦1,215 per litre and an ₦80 reduction in diesel from ₦1,650 per litre. The refinery said the move is aimed at easing energy costs and providing relief for businesses and households across the country.
In a statement, the company said the price adjustment forms part of its efforts to make petroleum products more affordable. It noted that under the revised pricing structure, petrol was reduced from ₦1,215 per litre to ₦1,165 per litre, while diesel was cut from ₦1,650 per litre to ₦1,570 per litre.
According to the refinery, the review is intended to enhance energy affordability, improve access to refined petroleum products and support economic activities across Nigeria.
It added that the decision reflects its commitment to ensuring a steady supply of quality petroleum products while contributing to the country’s economic growth.
