Covid-19: Nigeria Records 766 New Cases As Infection Hits 247,775 

Nigeria has recorded 766 New Covid-19 cases and no deaths as infection hits 247,775.

Gatekeepers News reports that the confirmed cases of Covid-19 has increased to 247,775 as 766 new cases and no deaths were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, 8th of January 2022.

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 218,427 cases have been discharged and 3,071 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to NCDC, the new cases are reported from 13 states, with Lagos having the highest with 261 new cases.

In further report from NCDC, Anambra had 208, Rivers-159, Kaduna-42, Gombe-25, FCT-20, Osun-19, Oyo-14, Bauchi-5, Kano-5, Ekiti-4, Ebonyi-2, Ogun-2.

Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.responseities.response activities.
