Nigeria’s Oldest Chief Imam Sheikh Adam Tahir Is Dead

Chief Imam of Kafanchan Central Mosque in Kaduna State, North West Nigeria, regarded as the oldest Islamic leader in Nigeria. Sheikh Adam Tahir is dead.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Deputy Chief Imam of Kafanchan, Alhaji Muhammad Kassim, said he died on Wednesday evening.

Kassim noted that the late Imam would be missed by Muslim faithful as he was a role model to all.

Sheikh Tahir is survived by 26 children, 290 grandchildren and over 200 great-grandchildren.

The late Tahir was 130-years old at the time of his death.
