Gov. Zulum Sacks Cabinet After Almost 3 Years

Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum has on Thursday approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council after almost 3 years in office.

Gatekeepers News reports that on May 29 2022, Governor Zulum will be commemorating his three years anniversary after the inauguration on May 29 2019 amidst pomp and pageantry at the Ramat Square in Maiduguri, the State Capital.

Zulum said the dissolution takes immediate effect according to a statement signed by the permanent secretary, administration and general services

Danjuma Ali on behalf of Secretary to the State Government.

The former cabinet members were directed to hand over affairs of their various ministries to their  permanent secretaries

According to Governor  Zulum, “the dissolution is to create enabling environment for interested members of the State Executive Council to legally participate in forthcoming primaries and congresses of the All Progressive Congress, APC.”

The Governor, therefore, expressed his deepest appreciation to members of the executive council for unquantifiable contributions while they held offices and wishes them the best of luck in future endeavours.
