We carry out this mandate through various thematic areas of intervention such as Democracy and Good Governance; Human Rights, Gender Mainstreaming, ADR and Prison Release; Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking; Integral Human Development, etc.

Location: Lagos | Nigeria.
Job Description:
- Draft and review legal documents, minutes, and reports
- Provide legal counsel and representation to indigent persons
- Conduct prison release of inmates from correctional facilities
- Organise activities on human rights, democracy, good governance, etc.
- Ensure up-to-date filing and compliance with regulatory commissions like the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA)
- Maintain correspondence with NGOs and Government agencies
- Attend relevant workshops, seminars and events
- Assist in the development of proposals
- Liaise with multiple stakeholders
- Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
- Monitor all legal affairs within the organisation
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Graduate Degree in Law
- Member of the Nigerian Bar Association
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience in the NGO Sector
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office applications especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of International and Domestic Human Rights laws
- Commitment and enthusiasm in the delivery of the organization’s objectives
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Excellent team working skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize
