Meet The New NSIA MD/CEO Aminu Umar-Sadiq 
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Aminu Umar-Sadiq as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA).

Gatekeepers News reports that Aminu’s appointment as the new MD follows the expiration of the tenure of the erstwhile MD, Uche Orji, whose tenure expired on September 30, 2022.

About Aminu Umar-Sadiq

Aminu Umar-Sadiq has more than 15 years’ experience in the financial services sector – spanning public finance management, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and asset management.

He began his professional career in the mergers & acquisitions division at Morgan Stanley, subsequently proceeding to Denham Capital Management, a natural resources-focused private equity fund, and then to the mergers and acquisitions division at Société Générale.

Aminu serves on numerous Boards in a non-executive capacity including on the Fund for Agricultural Finance in Nigeria (FAFIN), NSIA Healthcare Development and Investment Company and the Multipurpose Industrial Platform Limited (MIPL).

He attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering Sciences from the University of Oxford (St Johns College). He has also attended a plethora of advanced management programs for senior management executives.

Aminu was also a part of the Presidential Infrastructure Development Fund, an investment fund focused on the actualisation of five nationwide strategic projects in the transportation and power sectors.

He has worked on several projects, including the Presidential Fertiliser Initiative, an import substitution program for the delivery of one million high-quality, lower cost to farmers at lower cost metric tons of fertilizer.

He is a fellow of the Archbishop Tutu Leadership Institute.
