A resident of Lagos has narrated her ordeal with vehicle fraudsters popularly known as one chance.
Gatekeepers News reports that the lady identified as Valentina was on her way to work on Friday morning when she boarded a wrong commercial vehicle.
The green-coloured bus with the inscription “GRA-Shuttle,” was said to have picked her up from Joel Ogunaike, a street within the Ikeja area of Lagos, after asking for her destination.
Having confidence it was a proper public vehicle with other passengers in it, Valentina had an assurance she was on her way to work.
Minutes later, Valentina said peppery content was applied to her eyes and that of other passengers, making them cry out for help and pleading for freedom.
While hoping for help, they were mercilessly beaten and ordered to keep quiet or risk their lives. The fraudsters request their ATM cards and pin, phones and other items on them.
“All we could hear was confirm, confirm,” she added.
Upon releasing them, Valentina said she found herself on the Third-mainland bridge where was able to confirm the total money in her account had been withdrawn.
