In a significant move aimed at addressing labour concerns after the fuel subsidy removal, President Bola Tinubu has given his official approval for the inauguration of the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, CON, disclosed this in a letter to Comrade Ambali Akeem Olatunji of the Nigeria Labour Congress.
The inauguration ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at the prestigious Council Chamber, Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja.
The event is set to commence promptly at 12:00 noon, and all members are required to be seated by 11:30 a.m.
To facilitate the smooth transportation of committee members, a shuttle bus will be available at the pilot gate starting from 10:00 a.m., ensuring timely arrivals at the venue.
