Expect More Development Projects -Gov. Zulum Assures Borno People  By Gbenga Akingbule.  Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, on Thursday, assured the citizens of the State of more people-oriented projects as he prepares to govern the State for a second term.   Gatekeepers News reports that Prof Zulum gave the assurance on Thursday at an occasion in Maiduguri, the State capital, where the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presented his certificate of return to him having won the governorship election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress  (APC) on March 18th. INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Bauchi, Borno and Yobe States, Major General Madibbo Alkali (rtd)  also presented certificates of return to the 28 members of the state House of Assembly, all of whom are members of the APC.  Zulum stated that he would have no time to waste and promised to hit the ground running immediately.  The governor revealed that his programmes and policies in his second term would remain focused on security, health, education, agriculture and food security, job creation, youth and women empowerment, urban renewal, flood prevention, rehabilitation and resettlement According to governor Zulum, "we will not settle for just good when we can make things better,  and clearly, our aim is to achieve the best. We will not fail in our commitment to you, the people of Borno State and Insha Allah we will keep the promises made ."  “I want to assure the people of Borno State that Insha Allah we will not relent in our efforts to reposition Borno State to greater heights. I will commit to making sure that insha’Allah, we will work 100% for the benefit of the citizens of Borno State.” Zulum said.  Prof Zulum also seized the opportunity to call on his fellow contestants to join him in the task of taking Borno to greater heights.  Expect More Development Projects -Gov.
