Final funeral rites for the late COAS and others has held in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru, and 10 other officers who died in a plane crash have arrived at the National Military Cemetery, Abuja for final burial rites.
Gatekeepers News reports that the officers died on Friday, in a Beachcraft 350 aircraft at the Kaduna International Airport, Northwest, Nigeria in what preliminary reports indicates to be bad weather.
The remains of the deceased were taken for prayers on Saturday at the National Mosque and the Nigerian Air Force Protestant Church respectively.
Their bodies were later taken to the National Military Cemetary for interment.
Citation of the late COAS was read and the fallen officers were honoured with a 21-gun salute.
