Forty-eight new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Nigeria as pandemic tolls 166,146.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday announced 48 new infections.
NCDC reports that the new cases were recorded in six states of the federation.
A State-by-State breakdown of the fresh cases reveals the following; Lagos-22, Rivers-11, Enugu-11, Kaduna-2, FCT-1, Gombe-1.
The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed a person recovered and was discharged from various isolation centre and no death was recorded in the day under review.
Currently, Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases stand at 166,146; 156,529 recoveries and 2,071 deaths.
Gatekeepers News reports that 1,938,611 eligible Nigerians have been vaccinated with the first dose while 15,259 Nigerians vaccinated with 1st dose have collected their 2nd dose.
