Carlo Ancelotti has returned as the manager of Real Madrid.
Gatekeepers News reports that Real Madrid have signed Carlo Ancelotti for his second spell as the head coach, following the resignation of Zinedine Zidane last Thursday.
Real went back to an old face in the same way they replaced Santiago Solari with Zinedine Zidane in March 2019.
The Italian who is well known for his Decima win for the Spanish club signed a new three-year deal on Tuesday night.
Ancelloti was in charge at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu between 2013 and 2015, however, failure to win a major trophy in an injury-impacted 2014/15 season led to his departure.
During his first spell which was just for two years, he recorded one Champions League, one Copa del Rey, one Club World Cup, and one UEFA Super Cup to his name.
Ancelotti was also able to secure the most memorable runs for Real as they put together 22 victories in a row between September 2014 and January 2015, scoring 80 goals during that time and conceding just 10.
Gatekeeper News gathered that injuries hit at the end of the season and Real watched Barcelona win the treble.
The Italian would be exiting Everton where he spent 21 months as the head coach.
He was able to stabilise the club in the second half of the 2019/20 season, guiding the club safely away from any relegation. Although the Blues finished 15th in Premier League with four points outside the relegation zone.
