President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed a new Director-General for the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).
Gatekeepers News reports that Balarabe Shehu Ilelah was on Friday announced as the new DG of NBC.
The veteran broadcaster’s appointment was contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed.
Ilelah’s appointment is for a tenure of five years.
He replaces Modibbo Kawu who was suspended in February 2020. Although Armstrong Idachaba had served as the acting DG of the Commission.
