NCDC Records 7 New COVID-19 Cases

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 7 new COVID-19 cases.

Gatekeepers News reports that Nigeria has recorded 7 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 13 June 2021, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 167,066.

The 7 new cases were reported from 3 states- Lagos (3), Kwara (3), and Rivers (1).

Since the outbreak on 27 February 2020, a total of 2,117 persons have lost their lives to the virus while 163,463 have recovered and have been discharged.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,977,575 persons have received the first shot of their jab, while 639,976 Nigerians vaccinated with 1st dose have collected their 2nd dose.

The National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed this in its COVID-19 Vaccination Update for 13 June 2021.
