NAF Strikes ISWAP Chief Modu Sulum

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has eliminated ISWAP Chief, Modu Sulum.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Nigerian Air Force, NAF has eliminated Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) Chief, Modu Sulum was responsible for the death of the former Commander of the Boko Haram terrorists, Abubakar Shekau.

Several other ISWAP members were also taken out in Lamboa in Kaga Local Government Area of Borno State, Northeast Nigeria on Sunday.

The multiple airstrikes conducted by Alpha-Jets, L-39, and MI-35 helicopters brought the notorious terrorist, Modu Sulum, and several others down.

Sulum was also responsible for the destruction of power transmission towers at Malanari along Maiduguri-Damaturu Highway and attacks on travellers in Auno and Jakana.

The terrorists who were in a convoy of eight gun trucks invaded Lamboa preparatory to launch attacks in the Mainok axis.

However, ground and air troops hastened their mission after the NAF reconnaissance platform hovered over the location to confirm the targets.

NAF Spokesman Edward Gabkwet said the operation was successful:

“Of the eight terrorist gun trucks sighted by our surveillance team, the aircraft took out six and an unconfirmed number of terrorists.

“Nigerian Army troops and our air elements are mopping up the area and assessing the situation.”
