President Muhammadu Buhari has decorated the New Chief of Army Staff.

Gatekeepers News Reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has decorated the New Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Farouk Yahaya on Wednesday.

Buhari decorated Yahaya with the rank of lieutenant general at the State House shortly before the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor, and the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali, amongst others were present at the event.

The COAS until his appointment was the theatre commander of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), in the Northeast region of the country.
