England Beat Denmark To Set Up Euro Final With Italy

England have beaten Denmark to set up a final against Italy at the Euro 2020.

Gatekeepers News reports that England have defeated Denmark at the extra time of Wednesday semifinal to set up a final against Italy on Sunday.

Although Mikkel Damsgaard gave the formidable Denmark a lead at the 30th minute, 9 minutes after Simon Kjaer’s own goal launched the fall of Kasper Hjulmand’s side.

The Danes who grew stronger in the tournament after the incident of Christian Eriksen’s collapse on the pitch during their first match, struggled so hard to double their score at the English men’s net.

However, both sides could not net in a goal till the whistle was blown at full time.

At the 14th minute into the extra-time, Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box and the referee after checking the VAR pointed to the spot.

Harry Kane stepped forward to take the penalty which he missed but luckily had a rebound to lead Gareth Southgate’s men to the final.

Kane who was the man of the match said, “Unbelievable. What a game though, credit to Denmark. We dug deep and we got there when it mattered. We reacted really well – we’re in a final at home, what a feeling.

“I chose the side (for the penalty) I was going to go, it wasn’t the best executed penalty I’ve ever had sometimes you miss and it falls your way and thankfully it did today. We know it’s going to be a very tough game against Italy we’ve had a great tournament so far. One more game to go at home and we can’t wait.”

On Sunday, the Three Lions will face the Undefeated Record Breaker at the final to determine the European Champions.
