Professor Ihonvbere Fulfils Another Electoral Promise

Julius Ihonvbere has fulfilled another electoral promise.

Gatekeepers News reports that the member representing Owan Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Julius Ihonvbere OON, has fulfilled another campaign promise.

Ihonvbere in conjunction with the Taipei Trade and Investment Office in Nigeria is set to rebuild Oke Old Community market that has been abandoned for several years afterwind blew off the roofs of what was left of the dilapidated stores.

This was disclosed in a statement made by his Media Aide, Comrade Joshua Iraoya.

Iraoya said it’s part of the Parliamentarian’s commitment to minister to the plight of Owan Federal Constituency which he represents at the National Assembly.

He also noted that ‘In pursuit of fulfilment of his campaign promise, Ihonvbere who is Chairman House Committee on Basic Education remains concerned about the state of markets in the Constituency.

“As a long time friend of the Taiwanese Government,the Trade Mission (Embassy) at a meeting with Ihonvbere offered to collaborate on a community based project in Owan Federal Constituency.

“To this end,the Taiwanese Trade Mission (Embassy) has given an assurance that the Government and People of Taiwan will collaborate with Prof Julius to commence construction work on the Oke Old market.

“The Embassy further reiterated her desire to collaborate with the Owan Rep in other critical sectors that will further the development of the constituency and deepen the existing business and trade ties between the People and Government of Taiwan and Nigeria which Prof Julius Ihonvbere has helped to sustain over the years” the statement added.

Similarly, Ihonvbere has also promised to use the Oke Old market,when completed as a Model to build more of such in other communities in Owan Federal Constituency in order to enhance the commercial lives of inhabitants of benefitting communities.

He also assured that construction works will commence soon and added that the first phase of the project comprises of 30 market stalls.
